Income tax requirements
Income tax is the South African government’s biggest source of income and is stipulated
in the Income Tax Act No. 58 of 1962. As stated by the Act, tax is levied on income
received by all taxpayers (including trusts, companies and individuals).
Income Tax refers to a number of different tax types, including Standard Income Tax on
Employees (SITE), Pay As You Earn (PAYE), Provisional Tax, etc.
Tax returns are to be completed annually and should be submitted to the South African Revenue Service
(SARS). The Income Tax Act No. 58 of 1962 carefully stipulates a series of steps to be followed in
calculating an individual or company’s tax liability. These steps are the foundation on which tax
liability is calculated.
We practice strict adherence to all professional standards, regulations and laws at all times. The interests of our clients, including owners, investors and other stakeholders, are served in accordance with the appropriate professional standards applicable to any professional financial auditing firm.
Why the need for a company audit?
While our primary objective of the audit process is to provide varying degrees of
assurance on the underlying financial data, our auditors utilise experience and training
to provide clients with financial, internal control and operational recommendations that
can help improve their business. Our professional auditors have specialized knowledge of
specific industry sectors, allowing us to perform each audit with a unique, value-added perspective.
Trustworthy financial auditing services are vital in the South African economy. As auditors, we are responsible for providing transparent, accurate and informative financial information about our clients’ companies, allowing investors and other interested parties to make informed decisions about investing capital in a company – while at the same time ensuring that companies are adhering to tax legislation, etc. Audit services are required to protect the integrity of the capital business market in our country, and our team strives to always deliver accurate results in a professional manner.
punctuality is our characteristic of being able to complete a required task or fulfill an obligation.
We are diligent in laboring and putting efforts into doing and completing tasks.
